Rice is such an important staple in China, that a traditional Chinese greeting is "chi fan le mei you," which means "have you had rice yet?" It's a social equivalent to our "what's new" or "how's it going?".
Sometime later, Labo spotted a group of cheetah lying in the long grass. They did little other than raise their heads on occasion, but we were thrilled to see these seldom-spotted creatures, and spent a while observing and photographing them. Soon it was time for the "sundowner" lamb curry for slow cooker we stopped to toast our adventures. This night we were scheduled for a night drive, in which the tracker shone a spotlight into the bush, looking for pairs of eyes. We failed to see many animals...the experience of bouncing along in the moonlit bush the only entertainment to be had.

Fried rice is the perfect dish to use up your extra vegetables and meat. Its best to use day-old rice that has cooled, but you can make fresh rice if you choose; just remember to cut a bit of water from the curried lamb and rice in order to make the drier rice that works best in meals like this. Fry your vegetables and meat in oil, then toss them with your prepared rice and season the whole dish with garlic, ginger and soy sauce.
Mix the cornstarch with the cold water until blended. Pour mixture into the sauce in the slow cooker lamb curry, stirring well to incorporate. Continue cooking until sauce has thickened. Pour the sauce over the beef.
Keep lamb in a plastic bag or container, away from other items in the refrigerator. You can refrigerate fresh lamb for up to five days in its original packaging. Alternatively you can freeze lamb shanks for up to nine months in freezer bags. If you want to do this, freeze it within three or four days of buying it.
These type of pot meals are simple to make and way more healthy than frozen processed meals or take out food from a fast food place. These meals are also healthy than ordering a pizza, or opening a can of soup. All you have to do is add all of the ingredients into your slow cooker, set the temperature, and let it cook. You are free to go on with your day while your crock pot does all the work.
